The goal behind building this amplifier was to offer tube sound to headphone users at a moderate cost and at the same time without compromising on the sound.
This is a moderately priced but nice sounding tube headphone amplifier. An OTL amplifier means there are no output transformers to the headphones. The main reason why we make this amplifier is to let our customers experience the tube sound at an affordable cost. It will work well with most headphones having 92-94 db or above sensitivity and over 32 ohms impedance. This amplifier works in class A and no solid state devices are in the signal path.
The tubes used are four pieces of NOS 6N1P. Two tubes in parallel for one channel and that’s how this amp differs from the cheap imported amplifiers which are mostly solid state amps with a tube thrown in as an output buffer. This is real tube sound without breaking the bank. This amplifier like all our other products is completely made in India including the circuit,transformers and the enclosure.
The front facade is machined aluminium with powder coated 1.25mm thick powder coated steel box. A window is provided on the front panel for the user to appreciate the tube glow as well as to facilitate cooling of the tubes. High quality components are used throughout. Everything about this amp is over-engineered for example the power transformer and the heater power supply etc.
